STAT trains new generations of researchers and professionals in intervention strategies for complex geological and biological natural systems. STAT PhD doctors are able to collaborate with experts from different disciplinesand pursue careers in the private sector, academia, national and international research centers, and the education system. STAT programs offer rigorous theoretical and practical training, using advanced methodologies and technologies for sustainable land management, the responsible use of natural resources, and the mitigation of risks related to natural and anthropogenic processes.
Training is delivered by Italian and international experts and includes internships at leading research institutions, participation in collaborative networks, and access to national and international funding. Training consists in advanced courses and seminars on innovative scientific topics, the development of theoretical and experimental research skills, and hands-on experience with cutting-edge laboratory techniques. Emphasis is placed on the ability of PhD students on data analysis and elaboration, scientific writing, dissemination of research outcomes.
